Packing lightly can be a real headache, especially when you’re squeezing everything into a small suitcase. Lucky for you I’ve got a lineup of travel must-haves you can buy on Amazon that’ll help you pack smart and make the most out of your luggage space. Say goodbye to suitcase struggles and hello to stress-free packing for your trips.
Gonex Compression Packing Cubes

After years of my suitcase being organized by packing cubes, I have switched to compression packing cubes and it has been the best switch yet! I have used these compression packs in carry-on luggage and checked bags…and they fit everything perfectly. Having multiple sizes guarantees that I am able to fit all of my clothes in my suitcase, have extra room for other necessities (aka more shoes), and all of my outfits are kept organized. My clothes aren’t as wrinkled compared to when I used regular packing cubes, but I must iron them out when I unpack at my destination. Gonex, in my opinion, is one of the top brands on Amazon where you get the best bang for your buck. They are durable, includes handles, come in multiple sizes and colors, and are made of waterproof material.

Before my upgrade to packing cubes, I used to watch packing video after packing video of how to save space in my suitcase. It was more tedious than helpful and when I was returning home, I ended up just throwing all my belongings in the suitcase just hoping it would zip close. I have been using the BAGAIL packing cubes since 2017 on all my trips, especially the summer long visits to Greece. Since then, there have been many different style packing cubes made by BAGAIL such as multiple sizes, colors, types, variety packs, and more. They also make compression packing cubes, but the Gonex brand had better reviews, which is why I decided to try something different. If this is your first-time using packing cubes for your travels, I would recommend starting off with BAGAIL; this is my go-to gift for birthdays and holidays for new explorers!

As I started to travel more for work, I found myself constantly frustrated with the hotel clothing irons. The set up and take down took a while and the iron brands were cheaply made. On my most recent trip to Jamaica I decided enough was enough and it was time to invest in a portable steamer, even if it meant taking up precious room in my suitcase. I thank the electronic gods that I found a compact one on Amazon as it was one the first gadgets packed for my trip. The steamer works very well, it is simple to use, and you can take it apart so it does not take up too much space wherever you keep it! If you travel for work or are sick of hotel irons like me, you should add this to your cart ASAP!

I have gone through MANY toiletry bags throughout the years, and the current one I own has to be my favorite one hands down! Not only is it compact, but there are so many compartments to store regular size toiletries and all kinds of other necessities! I like to bring this with me even if I’m using a carry-on bag as I can fit extra products since they are TSA approved sizing. The hook attached is also durable, so it is easy to hang or store in your accommodation. It is one standard size (but larger than most competitors on Amazon) and is offered in different colors.

Recently, there have been many reports of bag theft of carry-on and checked bags while flying. After hearing numerous stories from coworkers and friends of this happening, I decided to buy an air tag to keep in my luggage in one of the zipper pockets. Although some airlines offer a tracking service when checking a bag, this gives me extra security to know exactly where my bag is, and if it actually got on or off the plane I boarded. I also found it very helpful as everyone’s carry-on bags are starting to look the same (if you have an AWAY bag or a simple black colored luggage, you know what I’m talking about) and someone can easily take your bag by mistake. It was a well spent twenty-five dollars to add an extra layer of protection of being able to retrieve my luggage both at the start and end of all my trips.

As a frequent flier that is constantly using her carry-on bag, going to the drug-store or grocery store to buy TSA Approved / travel sized items was time consuming. The products are also very generic and there are not many options. Refilling the tubes with my favorite shampoo, conditioner and additional makeup or body products is not only helping the environment, but you are using your favorite products on the go! I buy all my skincare products in travel size, so I use this perfect four tube set for shampoo, conditioner, body wash and make-up remover cleansers. The clear packaging also helps keep the tubes organized and easy to store in a toiletry bag or suitcase, protecting whatever it is stored in from a leak!

Using an electronic organizer never crossed my mind until I started packing more electronics on my trip. With an ever-changing technological world, you need a different wire for most products (thanks a lot, Apple.) Between my phone charger, air pod charger, Go Pro charger, Kindle charger and all the other loose wires and USB boxes there is just too much to pack in a carry-on without it getting lost or tangled. This organizer keeps everything arranged in an effortless way to next get wires confused or knotted.

This jewelry box was gifted to me by a friend and honestly it never crossed my mind to buy it until I used it on my first vacation and loved it. From necklaces, to rings, to earrings this is the perfect compact box to keep your belongings secure and separated.

If you are looking for an all-in-one charger for multiple devices and do not want to be carrying multiple chargers on your trip you need this charger. Not only does it plug into an outlet, but once you unplug it you can take it on the go as a portable charger. It also comes with three different outlet plugs to use when the voltage is different in another country. I used it on my trip to Jamaica and it worked very well. Shout out to my mom for this amazing gift!
