What Travel Agency do you work for? Consortia?

I am a travel advisor for Storied Travel. Storied Travel was founded by Sofia Calvin in 2019. Storied Travel is part of Travel Leaders Network and affiliated with renowned travel companies such as Reco by Tripadvisor, The Knot, and Virtuoso.

Is there a service fee? What does tailor-made travel cost and what is included?

 To better understand how I can be of service to you and potentially plan your trip, you can schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation to ensure we are the right match for one another. Planning fees begin at $200 for a single destination.  Fee increases based on the complexity of the trip like adding multiple destinations or group travel.  Once hired, the fee is inclusive of research, planning, requesting of perks & upgrades, and arranging of services. Fees are non-refundable.

Packages are inclusive of all air travel, private transfers, accommodations, tours, excursions, and dinner reservations. Some of these services are available à la carte.

Overall, where do you get your information from for your blog post? As a travel advisor?

Most of my information is from experience on past and recent travels featured in my blog post. Some of the destinations I have been to were many years ago, so I contact friends and family who have traveled their recently, read other travel articles posted by travel bloggers or companies like Conde Nast that I like or I’m interested in for up-to-date information and recommendations.

As a travel advisor, we receive travel articles, updates and information from suppliers and hotels that we work with. This helps us plan our trips with the newest information about that destination, hotel, excursions, and more!

Where do you get the accommodation information from?

The accommodations listed in each blog post are from experience, friends and family recommendations, and research. In the “Clocked Out and Checking In” section, these are blog posts of hotel stays that I have personally taken and reviewed.

As a travel advisor, I book my clients’ accommodations that fall into the affordable luxury to luxury category.

In my blog posts, you will find different lodging options across all budgets. While conducting my research, these are hotels that I work with as a travel advisor I have stayed previously or considered, or I feel are noteworthy. I always leave reviews on places I stay, especially if it is an Airbnb!

While researching accommodations, I preset the filters to one room for 2-4 people. When I travel, it’s usually 3-4 people per room, but I wanted to provide some options for couples, pairs of friends, or family traveling together.

Airbnbs and rentals will be private only, no sharing rooms or accommodations with the owner.
